Inspiring Office Designs We Love
Gone are the days when workplaces look strict, dull and uninspiring. With the millennial generation taking over, there is a greater demand for technology and creativity in offices. No more should one be plagued by bulky shelves and austere furniture. Today's working spaces are all about fun and imagination, meant to tickle the ingenuity of the company's employees.
Here, we list down some of our favourite office designs, and why we love them.
#1: BeFunky Portland
Constructed by the brilliant minds behind FIELDWORK Design & Architecture, this quaint working space in blue, browns and blacks shines with contemporary flair, thanks to the wonderful geometric wood panel designs and the lush potted plants inside the black boxes. Of course, this modern office design won't be complete with a proper industrial lighting, like the rows of black cone pendant lights hanging overhead.
#2: Blacklaboratory
This distinct, minimalist workplace is made perfect for the millennial generation, thanks to the efficient use of space. We think the long, unifying table is a great idea; perfect for connecting with co-workers while setting up a mood for collaboration. The industrial hanging lights using Plumen light bulbs adds a sense of youthfulness in this library-like setting.
#3: Pask
Black may seem a dreary number for modern office design, but this one conceptualized by architect agency MIM made it #5more sophisticated. Clean lines create a visual balance, while the round edges of the furniture soften the look. In this particular highlight, office accents are well-lit under a black, retro cone sconce attached to the wall. A pop of colour—like the bunch of healthy blooms on a vase, can make a big difference to the whole atmosphere!
#4: We Are Social
Take a look at the funky, inspiring workplace of a multimedia agency, We Are Social. Located in New York, this dazzling, industrial space makes use of red brick walls, multi-coloured wooden panels, a moveable crate-table and an olden leather couch for its reception. The hanging pendant light cords create an extra exciting flavour; one would just have to hang around this area and brainstorm new, exciting feats with fellow workers!
#5: Uber San Francisco
Uber is not just all about GPS; this thriving company is up-to-date in keeping its creative visuals in check. Its office in San Francisco is nothing less than amazing; At the reception, you'll be greeted by the brand's stand-out typography in gleaming lights. The desk itself is phenomenal; the white marbly texture over the wood is a great yet charming contrast. As a finishing touch, the place is well lit with linear lights and pendant task lights.
It is a must for every company to make their spaces a perfect ground to inspire their workforce. Businesses aspire to establish a certain kind of “atmosphere” to fit most of its staff—one can go from quiet and minimalist to raw and industrial. Nevertheless, a creative office design isn’t only for aesthetics; with proper concept, furniture and lighting, businesses can grow in boosting its employees’ talent and productivity.
