At Fat Shack Vintage we aim to only offer products that are readily available to ship. This means that it is either IN STOCK at our Melbourne facility or there is a STANDARD or EXTENDED LEAD TIME before arrival of stock to our facility.

Upon receipt of your order, we need to transfer the stock from one of our local Australian suppliers to our distribution facility in Melbourne. On receipt of the stock your order will be sent in entirety typically within 1-2 business days. Supply levels change on a daily basis so if after ordering it becomes apparent that there is now an unexpected, extended lead time for replenishment of an item then our customer service team will notify you as soon as possible and provide you with the updated lead time.

At times, an item or items you have purchased can unexpectedly become unavailable for immediate shipping, resulting in an extended lead time. If it is already known that an item is not readily available to ship and there is an extended delay, lead time information will be displayed here under the Extended Lead time section on the item listing.

Once all items in your order are available, we will ship your order in its entirety.

With thousands of products available for sale on our website and the nature of supply and demand fluctuations with fast moving goods, it is impossible to keep all items 100 per cent in stock, 100 per cent of the time. We offer a variety of products and finishes to try and suit many tastes, so unexpected delays can and do occur.

These schoolhouse pendant lights are beautiful reproductions of the classic lights which were mainly found in public libraries, schools and courthouses in the 1920s.  They accurately duplicate the classic shapes that are admired by so many. They give classic flair to any bedroom or entryway and can be incorporated into any contemporary room or traditional kitchen.

    About the Schoolhouse Pole Pendant - Washington:

    • Constructed from opal glass, the shades are available in small, medium and large sizes.
    • The small size includes hand painted one stripe, three stripe and five stripe styles. 
    • Its rod suspension comes in black, gold or white finish. 
    • The shade is fitted to the lamp holder with a metal gallery. While the black and white suspension poles come with a matching gallery, the gold/brass pole  is fitted with a black gallery.
    • The wooden mounting block pictured can be purchased separately here. Select the 10cm version for this fitting.
    • The shades are hand blown glass. Bubbles, lines, slight surface imperfections or discolouration are characteristics of all hand blown glass. They are not considered flaws or defects. 
    • Requires one Australian standard B22 (bayonet) light bulb.

      Fat Shack Vintage delivers Australia wide. From the tip to the tail and all the places in-between… if you live in Australia, we’ll get it to you!

      • All in-stock items are normally dispatched from our Melbourne location within 2-3 business days from date of purchase. If not in stock, current lead time is approximately 1-2 weeks from order date. The lead time is approximate. If your order is urgent, please call us for the current stock on hand level.
      • For a shipping rate quote, just select your desired products and proceed to the checkout where you will be able to enter your delivery postcode in the Shipping Rate Calculator. It will then calculate the shipping price for your order based on your postcode and the items in your basket.
      • To ensure peace of mind, all FSV orders are sent with tracking and full insurance.

      You can click & collect your order from our Melbourne location, so shopping with us has never been easier. Simply ensure you’ve selected Click & Collect (Moorabbin) at the checkout!


      We provide a 60 day return policy on all eligible items purchased from our website.  *This excludes sale stock, special and custom order items - please refer to the Description tab for information*. If the item arrives in tip top condition but you decide that you just don’t like it anymore or have changed your mind then please return the items in original, unused, unmarked condition and with original packaging within 60 days for a refund, minus the freight cost. 

      In order to process your refund request, please contact us that we can know when to expect the products back and so we can provide you with Return instructions. Please note we cannot accept in person returns at our location.

      Please check your order upon delivery and if required, report any damages, faults or problems within 14 days of receipt of goods.
