Cluster Pendant Lighting at Fat Shack Vintage
Cluster pendant lighting groups multiple pendants together to create a statement centrepiece over dining tables, kitchen islands, stairs and living spaces. Our range includes multi drop pendants and chandeliers in many combinations of three, five and nine drop designs, with selected styles offering mixed shade combinations.
Styles & Shades
Choose from clear, reeded, fluted and opal glass, as well as bakelite and metal shades, in styles that suit Hamptons, Art Deco, Federation and heritage interiors. For a bare bulb look, our multi drop pendant cords can be paired with designer bulbs.
What is a cluster pendant light?
A cluster or multi drop pendant is made up of multiple pendant suspension cords attached to a ceiling rose. These are commonly found in three, five or nine light drops, and can come with or without shades.
Where should I use a cluster pendant?
Clusters of pendants are a popular centrepiece choice over dining tables, where they draw attention and focus. In the kitchen, grouping pendants as a cluster is a great way to create a statement look as accent lighting. Read our dining room lighting guide and Kitchen Lighting Buying Guide for more ideas.
Can pendants in a cluster hang at different heights?
Yes. Pendants can be hung at even or varying heights for an enhanced look. While multiple pendants are generally spaced 50–80cm apart, this rule is flexible when you want to create a cluster or a unique statement. Check each product page for cord length and configuration details.
How high should a cluster pendant hang over a dining table?
As a general guide, a height of 70–80cm above the table surface allows an unimpeded line of sight across the table, with a clearance of 20–30cm from the edges of the table. Your lighting should also be centred over the table for balance and an even spread of light. See our Pendant Light Buying Guide for full measurements.
What light bulbs do cluster pendants need?
Check each product page for the bulb fitting of your chosen light. For bare bulb clusters, designer bulbs make a feature of the cluster itself. Read our Light Bulb Buying Guide to choose the right brightness and colour temperature.
Do you supply cluster pendant lights for trade and commercial projects?
Yes. We work with electricians, builders and designers on residential and commercial fit-outs. Visit our trade page to find out more or make an enquiry.
