  • The Blacksmith Sideboard Cabinet is a robust, storage-savvy piece of furniture that merges rustic style with industrial design. The cabinet is made from a sturdy steel frame with an antique black metal finish that is complemented by reclaimed wood sliding doors and inner shelves. The wooden doors can be displayed in an open shutter formation with the wooden draws and shelves visible. Alternatively, the sideboard doors can be completely closed to hide away any household items. This is a piece of furniture that provides ample storage whilst adding character and charm to existing decors. Place this piece as a storage option in a dining room or even in an entrance hallway.

    About the Blacksmith Sideboard Cabinet:

    • The frame is made from quality robust steel with an antique black metal finish. It sits on four steel legs which are apart of the frame itself.
    • Wooden surfaces and cabinet shelving is made from reclaimed pine that gives the piece a rustic feel.
    • Shutter doors slide open and close along wooden grooves. 
    • Shutter doors can be modified to display inner storage draws and shelving. Alternatively, the wooden shutter doors can be closed to hide items and belongings. See product images for various display options. 
    • Storage draws are not on tracking but easily slide open and close on the wooden frame. 
    • Please note: due to the natural qualities of using reclaimed wooden materials, imperfections, knots and markings are not considered faults.

  • Leather Furniture Care:

    • Keep away from direct sunlight to avoid and prevent fading or break down of material.
    • Keep at least 50 cm to 100 cm away from electrical or gas heating systems.
    • Do not use soaps, abrasive cleaners or furniture oils to clean leather.
    • Clean up water and food spills immediately to avoid permanent marks on leather. Do this by dabbing with absorbent cloth or paper towel and allow to dry naturally.
    • Wipe away any dust, dirt or crumbs with a clean, dry white cloth weekly or fortnightly.
    • As leather has organic properties, natural markings and imperfections are indications of genuine leather. These are therefore not considered defects or damage to the product.

     

    Fabric Furniture Care:

    • Keep away from direct sunlight to avoid and prevent fading or break down of material.
    • Keep at least 50 cm away from electrical or gas heating systems.
    • When vacuuming, use an upholstery or drape attachment to remove dust, dirt or crumbs.
    • Use a soft cloth or paper towel to treat spills. Do this by dabbing the area and allowing to dry naturally.
    • Do not use detergents or soaps for fabric cleaning.
    • Cut or knot loose threads instead of pulling them.
    • Pilling may occur naturally from regular use and is not considered a fault. This can be removed by using a de-pilling tool.

     

    Wood Furniture Care:

    • Dust regularly using a soft, dry cloth.
    • Wipe up spills immediately using a damp cloth, then dry with a clean cloth.
    • To protect wood finish, do not apply household cleaners or silicone-based products.
    • Avoid extreme heat, moisture and light to prevent swelling or cracking of wood.

     

    Difference between PU and Genuine Leather:

    Genuine Premium Leather is a durable and flexible material that is created by tanning animal rawhides.

    PU Leather is synthetic man-made leather that uses polyurethane to mimic the qualities of genuine leather material.

     

  • All of our furniture items are pick up only from our Melbourne warehouse.

    Alternatively, you can arrange your own courier to pick up and deliver to your address. The likes of E-go.com.au (Hunter Express) and Temando can be booked online and paid in advance. Please see the product specifications section for all information on product sizing and weight.

    All of our items are fully enclosed in packaging so suitable for transport. Pickups are Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm. Please contact us after purchase to let us know your collection date and time. All items must be collected with 7 days of purchase.
